Butcher Jones Surf Co.: Uniting Arizona's Mystique with Surf Culture
Inspired by the enigmatic Butcher Jones Beach on the north shore of Saguaro Lake, near the majestic Superstition Mountains, Butcher Jones Surf Co. seamlessly blends the rhythm of surf with Arizona's haunting history, rugged beauty, and pioneering spirit. Our brand is more than just apparel; it is a testament to a lifestyle where Arizona’s mystique meets vibrant surf culture.

Surfing this improbable landscape took root in 1969 in Tempe with the creation of legendary Big Surf—an engineering marvel and the first synthetic wave park in the United States—that drew land-locked surfers for over half a century. With its 2.5-acre wave pool and the ability to generate 3-foot-high waves, Big Surf brought the ocean to the desert, igniting a passion for surfing in an unexpected place. Surfing isn't new to The Valley, but advancements in technology are now elevating us to a world-class level.

Water, our liquid gold, has always been at the core of our story. The pursuit of the perfect wave echoes the resilience of our ancestors and their relentless thirst for the extraordinary. Arizona's legacy of innovation—from taming the unruly Salt River to embracing cutting-edge surf technology—is intrinsic to our identity and our way of life.
